Dragon Boats and
C4, C15 Racing Canoes
Dagley’s Dragon Boats and Canoes for club racing are winning designs, built to be strong and fast.
The hulls of the Dragon Boats blend thin-skinned, cold-molded mahogany ply/epoxy construction with an abrasion-resistant fiberglass skin, and incorporate a robust centre line girder and gunwales to provide longitudinal strength in a hull that weighs 20% less than a fiberglass hull. These lighter, stronger Dragon Boats are faster and more competitive, more durable, and they come with a customized trailer that can be pulled with a standard vehicle.
Dagley’s C4 and C15 Racing Canoes have a high level of finish, performance, and durability. The canoe hulls, built of strip planked red cedar sheathed inside and out with a layer of fiberglass cloth impregnated with epoxy resin, have a high strength-to-weight ratio and they preserve the traditional beauty of wood.

Traditional Boat Replicas
Building replicas of traditional small watercraft is a specialty of the craftsmen at our Lunenburg Small Boats facility. We can build traditional craft for recreational use, museums and historic reenactments, and film sets. July-Sep 2009 NorseBoat is building six traditional whale boats to be used in the upcoming remake of the film Moby Dick.
