Solar Electric Launch

The NorseBoat 21.5 Solar Electric Launch (SEL) has the same classic lines and exceptional performance as our 21.5 Sailing models, but utilizes solar electric power to move swiftly and silently through the water. A 17.5 SEL model is also available.

The 21.5 Solar Electric Launch has recognizable NorseBoat features. The efficient hull shape, cockpit design and solar electric propulsion make it stable and comfortable, clean and quiet, and very responsive.

Styling and comfort are superb. Deck and cockpit layout are well thought out. The efficient electric motor, out of sight in the aft compartment, lifts clear of the water when not in use and is accessible through a hatch in the aft deck. The batteries are under the cockpit seats.

Another trademark of the NorseBoat 21.5 SEL is its ease of use. It can be single-handed from the helm and comes with a self-launching anchor and electric windlass. It is eminently trailerable and can be quickly launched and retrieved by one or two people. It goes in and out of the water effortlessly, can be towed safely by a modest-size vehicle and stored at home on its trailer. The cambered rigid solar bimini is removable, practical for transport and storage.

Comfortable camping accommodations can be created with well-designed canvas options, partially or completely enclosing the cockpit and creating a double berth forward with single berths on the aft seats.
