Purchasing

buying your NorseBoat…

Buying a NorseBoat is a personal, straightforward process designed to ensure your boat fits how and where you sail, as well as your adventure goals and lifestyle.

Every NorseBoat is handcrafted in Prince Edward Island, Canada with care and attention to detail — and we’re here to guide you from first inquiry to your first sail.

Step 1: Choose your model

Select the NorseBoat model for how you want to explore.

NorseBoat 17.5 Classic – The flagship of our lineup and by far our most popular model, offering exceptional style, capacity and versatility for sailing, rowing, motoring, weekend cruising, and overnight adventures.

NorseBoat 17.5 Viking – New streamlined, less expensive version of the 17.5 Classic, with similar pedigree and performance, and a more open feel.

NorseBoat 12.5 Classic – Good for solo sailors or smaller crews, teaching your children or grandchildren to sail, and use as a compact daysailer, rower, tender or mini camp-cruiser.

NorseBoat 21.5 Classic (Cabin or Open) – Designed for more comfortable daysailing or multi- day adventures, with added space and greater range while remaining trailerable and easy to manage.

NorseBoat Solar Electric Launch (21.5 or 17.5) – Choose an electric launch for clean, quiet motoring, rowing and camping.

Not sure which model is right for you? We’re happy to talk through your experience level, boating plans and intended use to help you choose with confidence.

Step 2: Customize Your Boat

Once you’ve chosen your model, tailor your NorseBoat with a range of thoughtful options to match your adventures.
Popular options include:

  • Trailer – galvanized roller model with winch stand and tongue jack
  • Electric motor and spare battery – for clean, quiet propulsion without worry
  • Hull upgrades – painted accent stripes, keel protection, bilge pump
  • Canvas – storage bags, covers, cushions, sun and spray protection, camping tent

Because NorseBoats are built to order, these and many other options are incorporated during the build process, ensuring an integrated result rather than aftermarket add-ons.

Step 3: Build Timeline & Ordering

NorseBoats are built in limited numbers to maintain quality and craftsmanship. A deposit secures your place in the build schedule and begins the conversation. We’ll then provide a firm price quote with payment schedule and estimated completion date.

Throughout the build we’ll keep you informed and be available to answer questions.

Step 4: Delivery Options

We offer flexible delivery options to suit your location and preferences:

  • In-person pickup at our facility on PEI and trailering your boat home, feasible from anywhere in Canada and the US.
  • Professional shipping in an enclosed transport truck, or for international orders shipping in a container by ocean freight to a convenient port.
  • We regularly assist customers across North America and abroad, and can help coordinate logistics, documentation, and shipping arrangements.
